The quilt is FINISHED and being quilted right now. I should have it soon. It is BEAUTIFUL!!
We will be doing a second quilt soon. I hope people will bring their squares and stories to the conference in August. I hope we will also have a table at the conference for people to make a square there, or to submit their stories.

Hi all,
The Dravet Quilt of Celebration is finished, EXCEPT I need SIX more quilt squares. If you haven’t sent in your square yet, or haven’t participated, PLEASE do so ASAP.
The quilt will (hopefully) make its debut and be displayed at the Child Neurology Conference in Kentucky in September!
This first quilt has 64 squares representing 59 families from around the world. It is beautiful and tells the story of our Dravet children so wonderfully.
As soon as I have these six additional squares, I will have my friend to actually “quilt” our quilt.
If you haven’t participated, or don’t know about the Dravet Quilt project, do NOT despair. We have plans to make several Dravet Quilts, perhaps one for each continent. This first quilt is called the “Dravet Quilt of Celebration” because we wanted to celebrate the wonder and joy that our Dravet children bring to us and to those around them.
I think the second quilt should be called the “Dravet Quilt of HOPE”, because our hope is a cure, and we hope for the most and the best for our children.

If you want a photo of your child printed on a quilt square, you can email it to Kim or Brenda and we will print it out for you. However, you MUST still send in your accompanying letter and a phtograph if you wish. We are asking for a $10 donation for each square so that we will have the funds necessary to defray the costs of materials. The photo transfer paper is quite expensive, but I now have a printer that will print such photos on to this special paper.
Hurry, I need only six more blocks to finish this first quilt.

Ciara is a 4 year old with Dravet Syndrome, and this documentary is being used to raise awareness of Dravet Syndrome.

20th November 2008 – The idea for the Dravet Quilt of Hope was born and a call was sent out to all families affected by Dravet Syndrome to help with the Quilt of Hope, by producing their own Blocks of Love.
